VR-120
COMMUNICATIONS RECEIVER The Vertex (Yaesu) VR-120 is a new, micro sized handheld receiver almost identical is size and frequency coverage to the very popular Icom IC-R2. Perhaps the most noticeable difference between these two units being the VR-120's feature of up to 8 characters per channel for text description. Frequency coverage is continuous from 100kHz - 1300MHz with modes of AM, NFM and WFM available. Unlike the VR-500 the VR-120 does not have LSB/USB modes. The VR-120 also has a several other features not found on the Icom IC-R2 - this includes a basic frequency counter type feature whereby the VR-120 will search within +/- 50MHz, at high speed from the frequency displayed. When the strongest signal in that range is identified the VR-120 will display that frequency and store this in the special channel counter memory. Main Features:
