Kinetic

• Whilst not quite a conventional receiver the SBS-1 has been one of the most interesting items of the year so far - for the aviation enthusiast the SBS-1 provides a real time, virtual radar screen of the aviation traffic in the skies above.

  The SBS-1 costs £499.99 within the UK and is available from stock.

Alinco

• The DJ-X2000E European "CE" model is in stock at the moment but we do not have any of the the "World" (DJ-X2000W) versions with the low power Transmit feature which is not on the DJ-X2000E, T or K.
  
• DJ-X3E - small handheld remains very popular. The DJ-X3Z package has been very popular and new stock should be here soon.

AOR

• The AOR AR-ONE is a high performance unit that also carries a hefty price tag - this unit is now CE approved and available as a special order.
• The AR5000 and AR5000+3 are no longer available and were replaced by the AR5000A and AR5000A+3 last year. Both units have extended coverage to 3GHz which now mirrors the AR8200Mk3 and AR8600Mk2.
• The AR8600 was been replaced by the AR8600-II
• The AR8200-II was replaced some time ago by the AR8200 Series 3. This is available from stock.

  AOR's software package AR8200 Workshop is available as a Free Download.

  We have in the past manufactured two ofour own interfaces for the AR8200. At the moment neither are available I am afraid.

  • RS-8200. Ideal for those just wanting computer control. Built into a DB-25 socket this will then plug straight into the socket on the AR8200.

  • JAV-232 - currently out of stock we will be accessing the future of this interface in the near future.

GRE

The PSR-282 introduced earlier in 2004 remains a popular model. This is an entry level scanner that follows on from the PSR-244/PSR-275 and offers the same basic coverage it does however offer 8.33kHz steps on the VHF airband. This model remains arguably one of the best models for somebody wanting an easy to use scanner for starting out.

More recently the PSR-295 has become available. This offers wider coverage incluindg the Military airband and is available at £149.99.

Icom

• IC-R5 - The IC-R5 is available from stock.
• IC-R3 - The UK version with PAL video is available although not a model we normally stock. We will no longer be stocking either the European PAL version or the NTSC version.
• IC-R20 - A recent promotion on the IC-R20 was very sucessful but we are now out of stock. More soon.

Trident

• TRX-200 - A follow on from the TRX-100XLT with additional modes and features but it has limited success.
  

Uniden Bearcat

• Uniden UBC-3300XLT - Full 800MHz coverage on this European version of the BC-250D but now no longer available. Watch for the new UBC-3500XLT soon
• Uniden UBC-780XLT - Full 800MHz coverage but now no lonegr available. The new UBC-785XLTwill replace it but no trunking.
• The UBC-72XLT is a new hand held unit offering basic coverage and features. Its a great little unit though and ideal for somebody starting out.

Yupiteru

After something lime 13 years of production the MVT-7100 appears to have come to the end of its life as regretably Yupiteru are no longer producing this model.
